About Lesson

Double lumen trach tube consists of a hollow outer cannula and a removable inner cannula (Std).

  • May be fenestrated or non-fenestrated
  • May be cuffed or un-cuffed
  • Outer cannula hub allows for application of adjuncts
  • Allows for better cleaning and maintenance
  • Mostly used in long term adult patients
